On the occasion of Founder’s Day of SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh, NSS Cell of SRM AP led by Dr A L Rao is organizing a webinar on “Yoga and Meditation Techniques for COVID-19 and Beyond”. The session will be initiated by a welcome speech from Prof V S Rao, Vice-Chancellor, followed by a note from Dr A L Rao, NSS Coordinator. Aravind, a student, will chant the invocation prayer to open the session, post which Mr Vaibhav More and Dr Ravindra Dhuli will take the attendees through the yoga positions. Also, the webinar will have Dr Venkata Nori in the panel to encourage the audience.

The faculty, staff, students, and parents are cordially invited to attend this enriching session on 24th August, 2020 at 7 p.m. COVID-19 is an ailment associated with multiple chronic susceptibilities. Hence, enhancing immunity through natural therapies, meditation, and yoga practices become instrumental in combating the illness. Also, the pandemic has caused immense psychological distress to many across the globe. Yoga-based lifestyle and meditation is a suggestive technique to reduce stress during the pandemic and beyond.

Department of Student Affairs, SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh brings another chapter of the webinar series “News Makers” on 29th August 2020 at 4 p.m. During this webinar, Talari Hrisheekesh, and Gude Abhin, Department of Computer Science and Engineering will be interacting with the audience. A renowned company Health RX has offered technical internship to them with a stipend of Rs. 35000. Further, the company has offered them a job offer with a CTC of 12 LPA on successful completion of internship. An intervention enabling students to feel optimistic becomes crucial for improving their outlook of the future. Thereby, Department of Student Affairs, SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh organizes a webinar on “Meet your ‘Best Possible Self’ through Positive Psychology!” This session to be held on 30th August at 5 p.m. will have Dr Smita Sharma, Student Counselor, SRM AP, to take the audience through exercises that would eventually improve their attitude towards life.

“ECE in industry” – Talk Series 01

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh introduces “ECE in industry” programme, which will comprise of a series of talk by eminent industry experts. On 5th September,2020 at 5 p.m., Mr. Hanumanth Managoli has been invited to deliver a talk on “Advancements and Career Opportunities in Embedded and Automotive Embedded Systems”. Mr. Managoli is the Principal Consultant at Pi Square Technologies India, a Michigan based futuristic Automotive Embedded Engineering and Consulting company having association with top-notch suppliers in Automotive Industry.

Mr. Managoli possess 35 years of industry experience in various companies operating in the public and private sector. Being associated with the Indian Space Research Organization’s Satellite Centre (ISAC) as a Scientist, he worked on 2nd generation INSAT series of spacecraft. He then moved to be the founding member of the India Centre for PLC system-and-software development group at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB). Mr. Managoli is also proficient in Software Engineering Process frameworks and Standards such as CMMi, AutoSPICE, Functional Safety standards of ISO26262, IEC61508 & UL1998.

Teacher’s Day Programme at SRM AP

“The true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves”, says Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the 2nd President of India, whose birthday is observed every year to recognize the essential role of a teacher in shaping young minds and personalities. SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh has arranged a virtual celebration on Teacher’s Day, 5th September, 2020 at 4 p.m.

The ceremony will begin with an invocation, followed by an address from Prof V S Rao, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof D Narayana Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor. Further, the students have prepared song performances to appreciate the contribution of the teachers.
