Electrical and electronic engineers act as vanguards of practical technology, improving the devices and systems we use every day. From solar-energy systems to mobile phones, they innovate and design to satisfy society's communication, tech and energy demands. They are responsible for developing new technologies needed in different industries such as smart power generation, transmission and distribution besides innovating energy-efficient systems to be used in robotics, e-transportation and healthcare industry.
The Department is focused on training our students to acquire strong academic knowledge in the frontier areas of both electrical and electronics engineering and also equip them with the necessary skill set to face real-world challenges. For this reason, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering sports a rich blend of young and highly-experienced regular and visiting faculty and a modernised curriculum, keeping in view with the current and upcoming industry requirements in future (Industry 4.0).
