SRM AP Amaravati campus sports facilities include badminton, basketball and volleyball courts; athletic tracks, cricket grounds, gymnasiums, yoga rooms, soccer grounds and table tennis.

Students are encouraged to participate in sports at national and international meets. Student clubs for different sports have faculty members designated to guide students. These expert trainers identify special skills; provide intensive training and help students achieve their sports goals.

Further to providing grounds and facilities for students, SRM AP Amaravati regularly hosts local, state and international tournaments on campus.

Sports Fest 2K19 - 22 & 23 February

SRM AP’s second sports fest was inaugurated on 22nd of February 2019 by the Chief Guest L.V. Subramanyam, I.A.S. Special Chief Secretary Sports and Youth Advancement Department, Government of AP. The participants were also addressed by Prof T. Ragunathan (Convenor), Dr.Abdul Mohaimin assistant physical director(Organising secretary), Dr. D Gunasekaran (Registrar), and Prof D. Narayana Rao (Pro Vice-Chancellor).

There was an all-round representation of sporting activity at this inter-university meet - cricket, throw ball, football, basketball (men and women), volleyball, chess (men and women), table tennis (men and women), and tennis. SRM AP students won a few top prizes - table tennis (women) and runner up position in volleyball (male).

Dean Stephen Baker's visit to SRM AP campus

The former Vice President of Community Affairs and Dean of Athletics, Cooper Union, Stephen Baker conducted coaching sessions at SRM AP during the week of January 28th to February 3rd, 2019. He has dedicated over 50 years to the service of Cooper Union and played a monumental role in influencing the athletic world.

Dean Baker coached basketball, volleyball, football and lawn tennis. SRM AP sports enthusiasts who participated in the program were appreciative of Dean Baker’s immense knowledge and experience are confident that the training will help them both physically and mentally and foster all-round development that will show results when they represent the university at sports events and competitions in the future.
