Dr Dasgupta earned his PhD in Statistics from the University of Florida and is currently an adjunct professor of Data Science at Chennai Mathematical Institute. Prof Jayaseelan Murugaiyan is a senior scientist and subject matter expert who previously worked as the Scientist & Group Leader (Proteomics) at the Institute of Animal Hygiene and Environmental Health, Center for Infectious Medicine, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. He taught at many national institutes and an international institute, Germany’s Freie Universitaet-Dhalem Berlin’s Research School of Biomedical Sciences. SVS Sri Harsha, a final-year BSc Computer Science student at SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh, receives admission offers from India’s top business schools. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a non-profit establishment formed for the global engineers’ community that promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enhancement, and skill development. ASME Student Chapter helps university engineering students develop their professional identity and provides essential engagement opportunities by offering access to a wide range of activities and resources such as membership, competitions, scholarships, student sections and much more.

People across the world are celebrating the seventh international day of Yoga on the theme “Yoga for well-being”. As the celebration has been scaled down due to the pandemic, SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh is celebrating the day by conducting a virtual talk on “Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga-Steps Towards Mastering Oneself” on June 21, 2021, at 5.00 pm.

The International Yoga Day was first proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a speech to the United Nations and has been observed worldwide every year since June 21, 2015, to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of yoga for health. In this unprecedented times of Covid-19, incorporating yoga into one’s routine is beneficial. Yoga is believed to be effective for the psycho-social care and rehabilitation of Covid-19 patients in quarantine and isolation. The programme aims to enlighten the students about the different yoga postures and the virtues of meditation.
