VIT, Amrita University will complement the effort, says Chief Minister

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandra Babu Naidu and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, M Venkaih Naidu inaugurated the first university, SRM University AP- Amaravati in the state capital region on July 15, 2017. The SRM campus at Amaravati is a multi-disciplinary varsity, offering programmes in the field of engineering, medicine, liberal arts and management. 

SRM University, Chennai, and SRM University A.P,. have entered into a strategic tie-up with the College of Engineering, UC Berkeley, through partnerships with the Dado and Maria Banatao Centre for Global Education and Outreach from Berkeley Engineering (GLOBE), the Sutardja Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) and the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation (JIDI).

SRM University, Chennai and SRM University AP – Amaravati have entered into a strategic partnership with the College of Engineering, UC Berkeley, through global partnerships with the Dado and Maria Banatao Centre for Global Education and Outreach from Berkeley Engineering (GLOBE), the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology [SCET] and the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation. The partnership will entail bi-directional information exchange in the areas of engineering education, particularly in the areas of technology-based entrepreneurship and design innovation.

The upcoming SRM University in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, has said it has signed an agreement with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to license course materials.

The university has begun working with MIT for the design and development of curriculum through the use of MITx courses, free online courses from MIT, according to an official statement.

SRM signs agreement with MIT, U.S. to license course materials

Recently, SRM University, AP – Amaravati, the new upcoming university in the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, has begun working with the MIT, U.S. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), for the design and development of our curriculum through the use of MITx courses. This would include courses such as Calculus, Electromagnetic Theory, Classical Mechanics, Computer Programing, and many more.

The SRM Group’s new flagship higher education project, SRM University AP- Amaravati has inked a collaborative partnership with France’s leading specialised engineering institution, EFREI. The Memorandum of Understanding for promoting academic collaboration in the areas of faculty, student exchange and research collaboration was recently signed by the President of the University Dr P.Satyanarayanan and the Director of EFREI, Frederic Meunier.
