University of California, Davis and SRM University-AP ink MoU for Global Study Programme
SRM University – AP enters into an MoU with the University of California, Davis for common interests and objectives in academic, scientific, and cultural affairs. Our university will select meritorious students with high academic standing and demonstrated skills for University-level study in English for the Global Study Programme. Prof Y Sivasankar from the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering will act as the nodal faculty establishing channels of communication to facilitate intellectual interaction.
The Global Study Programme will enable students to enrol in courses at UC Davis for academic credit that will be applied towards the degree the student is earning at SRM University-AP. Students will be able to enrol in a broad range of courses in nearly all the colleges and departments in UC Davis. They will be provided with access to UC Davis facilities and privileges, including but not limited to: libraries, sports, and recreational facilities, the university transportation system, and the student health centre. Moreover, students will be assisted to obtain housing within a reasonable distance of the UC Davis campus.
The MoU provides a framework for students from SRM University-AP to study at UC Davis under the auspices of the Global Study Programme. The UC Davis Global Study Programme is an academic study programme that allows students from select foreign institutions to enrol in regular UC Davis courses on a full-time, non-degree basis. SRM University-AP initiates global partnership with reputed international universities to facilitate the academic and cultural enrichment of our students which in turn adds to their personal and professional growth.

SRMAP signed MoU with Speed Engineering Solutions
SRM University-AP has inked a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with Speed Engineering Solutions Pune. The MoU will significantly benefit the students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in their studies and overall industry exposure. As part of the understanding, the following activities will be carried out-
- Speed Engineering will deliver interactive and insightful webinars on Product Design-Development and similar topics to all students of the university.
- Speed engineering will conduct online workshops on product design at subsidised charges for BTech and MTech students.
- Speed engineering will offer full-time summer internships on Industry oriented product design and development to our BTech and MTech students.
- Speed engineering will offer a series of skill-building projects based on industry work to the BTech and MTech students. They will work under the joint guidance of SRMAP faculty and experienced Speed Engineering professionals. These projects will be based on real-life industry problems.
- Speed engineering will offer in-campus internships to some of the students of SRM AP based on their project performance.
- Speed engineering will offer jobs to some of the brightest students based on their project performance.
Prof Prakash Jadav welcomed the initiative and said, “This MOU is an excellent initiative for the mechanical engineering department. Our students will get huge benefits such as the latest training on Product design and Simulations, CAD, CAE and many other things. The benefits do not end here. Our students will further be able to convert opportunities to work on live industry projects and internships into attractive job offers. I am certain that our students will reap all the benefits from this collaboration.”

SRM AP and AIIMS Mangalagiri share healthcare research of mutual interest
AIIMS Mangalagiri, one of the premier healthcare institutes of National importance, has agreed in principle to collaborate with SRM University-AP to carry out joint research programs of mutual interest in health care. Doctors from AIIMS Mangalagiri and faculty members of SRM University-AP had a joint meeting held at AIIMS Mangalagiri on Wednesday evening.
Pro Vice Chancellor of SRM University-AP, Prof D Narayana Rao, expressed the significance of AIIMS Mangalagiri’s collaboration in the proposed research projects, outreach programmes, and patent inventions undertaken by SRM university-AP during the last three years. Dr C H Lakshmi Rajyam, Medical Officer of SRM University-AP, requested the support of AIIMS-Mangalagiri to provide medical and health services to the university faculty, staff and students.
Director of AIIMS Mangalagiri, Dr Mukesh Tripathi, agreed in principle to these proposals. He opined that AIIMS would visit SRM University-AP on July 26, 2022, and expressed his interest in inking an MoU. Dr K A Sunita, Prof G S Vinod Kumar, Prof Prakash Jadhav, Dr S Mannathan, Dr Pradyut Kumar Sanki and other faculty from SRM University-AP gave a PowerPoint presentation about the proposed research projects. Dr Mukesh Tripathi, Dr Joy A Ghoshal, Dr Deepti, and Dr Vamsi Prabhrutlu of AIIMS Mangalagiri took part in the meeting.
