Socio Impacto by E-Cell at SRM University-AP has taken the initiative to organise a Talkspiration Series, where influencers and achievers will share their stories about success. As part of the series, a lecture on the title “How Satya Illa is IMPACTING thousands of LIVES,” is scheduled to be held on July 27, 2021, at 7.00 pm on the Zoom platform.
Guest/Speaker- Mr Satya Illa:
The technological innovator and recipient of the Commonwealth London-Youth Achievement Award for Excellence, Mr Satya Illa is a social entrepreneur and a change maker. He is also the innovation and leadership instructor for NITI Aayog, Govt. of India. Mr Satya Illa is the innovative brain behind the shockproof three-phase electrical motor pump that prevents electric shock from motor starters. He had worked with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and had been involved in a project incubated by the Bala Vikasa International Centre, Hyderabad. He identifies lack of awareness and poor maintenance of electric devices as the causes of fatalities due to electrocution among farmers.
Speaker/Facilitator- Dr Aqsa Agha:
Dr Aqsa Agha holds a PhD from JNU in Historical Studies. She has researched extensively on issues of human trafficking at TISS, Mumbai for the National Research Study on Human Trafficking in India that aimed to analyse the trends, magnitude, modus operandi, response mechanism, and vulnerability context of human trafficking in India; and research on human rights violations on the India-Bangladesh border in the state of West Bengal with Human Rights Defenders’ Alert-India. Her understanding of Participatory Research was enhanced while working as a Consultant at Partners in Change/Praxis-Institute for Participatory Research, New Delhi.
Mr Tushar Sahu, a team member of Socio Impacto will be the host and Boyapati Sai Venkat, Team Lead Socio Impacto will be the moderator of the session. Besides, Mr Udayan Bakshi, CEO of TBI & Associate Director of Entrepreneurship; and Mohammed Khizar Baig, President of E-Cell; will be present as panellists.
