Career Guidance to Improve your Job Prospects!

General awareness and guidance to available career options and opportunities greatly benefit fresh graduates facing an increasingly demanding job market. Proper career counselling by an expert mentor will reassure and instil confidence in students to overcome challenges while seeking a career of their choice. The Paari School of Business is organising a talk by Professor Vinay Kumar Nangia, Mentor, Guide for Education, Business and Startups on January 05, 2023, on the topic “Career Choice”. The session will enlighten all students of SRM AP on the evolving job market and the plethora of opportunities available to young job seekers.
Abstract
Job seekers and interns face difficulties in clearly defining their career paths. This has taken a toll on students, who are frequently unprepared for the world of work when they graduate. Employers are increasingly concerned about graduates’ unemployability. Students require career counselling to explore and plan for future career endeavours based on their unique interests, skills, and values.
Prof Vinay Nangia will shower the light on the choice of career. His talk includes, What are the different opportunities we have? How to select a career? How to use our strengths to achieve a goal? Participation in career guidance strengthens the link between academic and professional experiences, improving career preparation and management.
About the Speaker
Professor Vinay Kumar Nangia is a leader, mentor, motivator, educator, trainer, coach and guide to students, scholars, teachers and business executives in academia, industry and government has a rich experience in the industry, education, consulting and start-up world. Prof. Nangia has multi-functional expertise in Banking, Finance, General Management, Education and Institution Building. This includes experience in raising and deploying financial resources in India and overseas, setting up new ventures in India and a new industrial project overseas. Banking experience includes exposure to commercial banking, merchant banking, investment banking, trade finance, project finance and training. Experience in education includes active participation in the formulation and setting up of MBA and MCA programs in IIT Roorkee and more recently BBA and MBA programs in NSUT, Dwarka, New Delhi.
