Vijayawada: Minister for skill development, law and justice Kollu Ravindra inaugurated two-day international conference on ‘Transformations in Engineering Education – Imparting the Futuristic Skills (ICTIEE AP’ 18)’ at SRM University in Amaravati on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the new capital Amaravati is attracting the best universities in the country and will develop as educational hub in future.

Vijayawada: Students from SRM University, Amaravati (Next Tech Lab) have been declared the champions of the Indian Game Development Challenge (IGDC)- 2018.

The winning team “Incendium” comprising of Saptarshi Mazumder, Rajarshi Mazumder, Koushik Bhargav, Aneek Banerjee, Saurav Raj and Saurabh Ghanekar secured top position in the IGDC organised by Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK Finland) and APSSDC along with SRM University – AP, Amaravati, according to Prof D Narayana Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SRM University – AP, Amaravati.

Cell culture facility opened at SRM-A.P.

Eight such labs will be set up next year, says varsity Pro V-C

SRM University-Andhra Pradesh has launched its first New Cell Culture facility on its premises in Amaravati to pioneer bio-medical research on cancer cells. This facility will house the latest equipment required for cellular culture, drug delivery, cell imaging and cell cytotoxicity.

Anil K. Suresh, principal investigator of the laboratory and an associate professor at the Department of Biotechnology, spearheaded the acquisition of equipment such as Type 2 biosafety cabinet, CO2 incubators, cell counting machine, inverted and upright microscopes, table-top centrifuge, – 20 and 4 degree refrigerators and cell storage facility.

SRM AP Monday launched its first cell culture facility at its campus here to pioneer bio-medical research on cells.
