The session will explore the “Role of Insulin-Regulated Transcription Factor FoxK1 in Males and Females” by our guest speaker, Dr Prasanna Kumar Reddy Allu, on October 12, 2023. He will unravel the complexities of FoxK1, a key player in the intricate machinery of insulin regulation, and how its functions differ between males and females.

About the Speaker

Dr Prasanna Kumar Reddy Allu is a research scientist at Harvard Medical School, USA. He has ten years of research experience in metabolism, brown fat, and cardiovascular research. Dr Kumar was ranked AIR-18 for Master of Technology (Biotechnology) in the Jawaharlal Nehru University Exam for Biotechnology conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and has received a Junior/Senior Research Fellowship from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) for pursuing Doctoral study. The American Heart Association (AHA) also awarded Dr Kumar a post-doctoral fellowship.
