What is Smart India Hackathon 2020?
Message from our Government:
Smart India Hackathon 2020 is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. In SIH 2020, the students would have the opportunity to work on challenges faced within various Ministries, Departments, Industries, PSUs and NGOs to create world-class solutions for some of the top organizations including industries in the world, thus helping the Private sector hire the best minds from across the nation.

What is a Hackathon?
“A hackathon is a 24-48 hour marathon of building, creating, producing, delivering and pitching a product, in a short amount of time.“
During the 24 hours of this hackathon, you are expected to apply your skills to solve one of the 300+ problem statements and provide a working product at the end of the 24 hours.
As part of the Rules and Registration process for this edition, our college will be hosting an Internal Hackathon to select the top 7 teams to be sent for the SIH selection process. You are expected to pick and work towards solving one of the problem statements listed on sih.gov.in
This hackathon is open to all students, irrespective of their branch.
Hackathon Details:
Date and Time: Friday, 10th January 2020 9:00 PM to Saturday, 11th January ‘20 9:00 PM (24 hours)
Venue: ALCs in Admin Block Level #3
Details of Judges and Judgement Criteria for Internal Hackathon will be announced in due course of time.

Keep in Mind:
- Your team should have exactly 6 members with at least one female member
- The problem statement must be one of the 300+ listed here
- Participation in this Internal Hackaton is must to be considered for the main SIH 2020 hackathon
- All participants get Participation Certificates
