ISB Orientation Session for MBA Aspirants by Mr Arun Prakash

The Department of International Relations and Higher Studies (IR&HS) is organising a seminar on “ISB Orientation Session for MBA Aspirants” on February 26, 2024. The seminar is aimed at pre-final or final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to equip themselves with multidisciplinary perspectives, thinking skills, and research tools before they begin their Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management.

The seminar aims to provide valuable insights to students who are exploring different career goals and considering admission to B-schools. The seminar will delve into various aspects of the decision-making process, including the benefits and drawbacks of choosing a one-year MBA versus a traditional two-year programme, the differences between a Master’s in Management (MIM) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), and the key distinctions between global business schools and regular business schools. Additionally, the seminar will also explore the possibilities of pursuing an MBA in India versus an MBA abroad, the merits of a full-time MBA versus an executive MBA, and offer guidance on how to shortlist the best options based on individual career aspirations. Attendees can expect to gain clarity and a deeper understanding of the nuances of each option, enabling them to make an informed decision about their future career path.

About the Speaker

Mr Arun Prakash is a higher education Marketing Professional. He leads the Young Leaders Programme at the Indian School of Business. He has rich experience working in top brands like Naukri.com, Butterfly Appliances, Eenadu and served in premier educational institutions in various managerial roles. His area of interest lies in Career Counselling, Marketing Strategy, Branding, Digital Marketing, Admissions, Outreach, Students’ Life, and Alumni Relations.
