Guest Talk on “Road Construction and Issues – Critical Review”

The Department of Civil Engineering at SRM University-AP is thrilled to announce that Mr K Nayeemulla, the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) MDR Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, will be the esteemed guest speaker for the upcoming 2nd Industry Guest Lecture on “Road Construction and Issues – Critical Review” scheduled to be held on November 09, 2023. The lecture promises to be insightful and informative, covering a wide range of topics related to road construction and maintenance. Mr Nayeemulla will also discuss pilot projects on FDP and waste plastic roads in Andhra Pradesh, providing valuable insights and perspectives on these innovative initiatives.

About the Speaker

Mr K Nayeemulla completed his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from JNTU, Anantapur, and his Master’s in Structural Engineering from IISc Bangalore. He also holds an MBA degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad. In the early days of his career, Mr Nayeemulla worked as a software engineer at MS Idea Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, and as a lecturer at various colleges, including BMS College of Engineering, one of the prestigious colleges in Bangalore. He joined Andhra Pradesh R&B in 1993 as a deputy executive engineer on direct recruitment and has since worked in several roles, such as Executive Engineer, Superintending Engineer, and Chief Engineer, over 30 years. He actively participates in many prestigious technical forums organised by the Indian Road Congress and CSIR-Centra Road Research Institute (CRRI). His noteworthy achievements in his career include his contributions in obtaining sanctions to the state of AP from NABARD. He works as an Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) MDR, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada.
