FDP on Deep Learning and its Applications

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is organising a five-day Faculty Development Programme on “Recent Trends in Deep Learning and its Applications” from October 14-18, 2024. The objective of the programme is to enhance the participants’ knowledge of deep learning fundamentals and explore the latest trends and advancements, such as transformers, generative AI, etc. In addition to showcasing the application of deep learning in various fields, the FDP also seeks to promote collaboration between academia and industry to drive innovation and practical implementations.
Objectives
- Strengthen knowledge of deep learning fundamentals and introduce the latest advancements, including transformers, generative AI, and responsible AI.
- Showcase practical applications of deep learning in areas like computer vision, healthcare, automotive, and manufacturing industries.
- Equip participants with research and development skills for cutting-edge deep learning projects, encouraging innovation and practical implementations.
- Promote the integration of deep learning with emerging technologies, such as IoT, to explore innovative and future-oriented applications.
The FDP is open to Faculty members, Research scholars, PG students, and Industry professionals from engineering colleges, universities, and research institutions. industries. Experts from academia (NITs/IIITs/foreign universities) and industry will serve as resource persons for the Faculty Development Programme.
