VIJAYAWADA: The SRM University, AP-Amaravati and Steinbeis Global Institute Tuebingen of Germany have formally came to an understanding to set up a ‘Center of Excellence in Mechatronics and Industrial Robotics ‘, conducting a certificate course in Global Marketing and Sales, exchange of students and organising an International summit with Industry and academia.

SRM University staff attends international meet in Italy

Vijayawada: SRM University, AP, Amaravati, participated at the four-day working conference on ‘Architecting the Future Global University’. The conference was organised by Rockefeller Foundation of New York held at Italy from August 20 to 24, said SRM University Vice-Chancellor Dr Jamshed Bharucha at a programme here on Monday.

SRM University – AP, Amaravati, a research university, participated in the 4-day working conference “Architecting the Future Global University” that was recognized by the New York-based Rockefeller Foundation.
It tackled a two-fold concern for educational institutions worldwide –
1. quality education remains inaccessible to millions of students.
2. branded residential institution model does not scale to global demand.

Cell culture facility opened at SRM-A.P.
Eight such labs will be set up next year, says varsity Pro V-C
SRM University-Andhra Pradesh has launched its first New Cell Culture facility on its premises in Amaravati to pioneer bio-medical research on cancer cells. This facility will house the latest equipment required for cellular culture, drug delivery, cell imaging and cell cytotoxicity.
Anil K. Suresh, principal investigator of the laboratory and an associate professor at the Department of Biotechnology, spearheaded the acquisition of equipment such as Type 2 biosafety cabinet, CO2 incubators, cell counting machine, inverted and upright microscopes, table-top centrifuge, – 20 and 4 degree refrigerators and cell storage facility.

SRM AP Monday launched its first cell culture facility at its campus here to pioneer bio-medical research on cancer cells.
This facility will house the latest equipment related to applications like cellular culture, drug delivery, cell imaging and cell cytotoxicity, a university release said.

SRM varsity to innovate in active learning forums, research
Amaravati: The Board of Governors of the SRM University held its two-day meeting which concluded on the campus of the Varsity on Friday.
Dr P Satyanarayanan, president of the SRM AP who presided over the meeting told newsmen that the Varsity is going to embark on massive expansion plan with greater resources and programmes for the faculty research and with an aim to enhance the student learning experience. He said that there would be new international collaborations to integrate innovation and technology-driven pedagogy such as active learning forums into the curriculum.

SRM AP to host Amaravati’s First Ever student run National Hackathon on Feb 28
Amaravati, Feb 14 (UNI) SRM University, AP, Amaravati will host its first student run National Hackathon “HackSRM” on February 28 at the campus during its Tech Fest 2019.
It will bring together student coders from across the country to collaborate and create solutions to potential word problems through technology. HackSRM is expecting to have a large number of participants for the intense day-long-event.
