Research Interest

  • Design and development of catalytic materials for the synthesis of various chemical intermediates.
  • Application of mesoporous materials, metal organic frame works, mixed oxides, layered double hydroxide derived mixed oxide catalysts, metal ion exchanged clays for conversion of biomass to chemicals, green processes for fine chemicals and bulk chemicals.
  • Process intensification studies by using heterogeneous catalysis for several industrially important processes.
  • Development of clean and economical catalysts and processes to replace traditional catalytic processes
