About the Speaker

Prof. Sreerup Raychaudhuri works on the physics of elementary particles and their interactions. He is a Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta and worked as a postdoc first at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and then at CERN, Geneva. He taught Physics at IIT Kanpur for several years before joining TIFR, where he is now a Professor of Theoretical Physics and Dean (Administration). His research interests are interfacing theory with experiments, especially in the physics of electroweak interactions. He is also interested in the popularisation and history of science.
