a. Parents Meeting

Parents meeting was organized on 8.2.2020 (Saturday) to make parents of the First maiden batch of SRM, AP the current opportunities in industry and also make them know where their wards stand in the competition and how the preparation of the students has to be for the upcoming campus placements.

b. Mock Interview

A mock interview, also known as a practice interview, is a simulation of an actual job interview. It provides job seekers with an opportunity to practice for an interview and receive feedback on their interviewing skills.

Mock interview are conducted as a practice job interview held with a professional career counselor. A mock interview helps you learn how to answer difficult questions, develop interview strategies, improve your communication skills, and reduce your stress before an actual job interview.

It was conducted by Department of CR & CS Department on 19th and 20th of Dec 2019 for the benefit of students to get the taste of the entire placement process during the Campus placements and also the feedback was given to students by HR’s of various esteemed organizations, so that the students know where they stand in the competition. Industry HR’s attended the process to help the students in gauging their Aptitude, Technical and other skills and gave them their valuable suggestions.

c. Guest Lectures/Webinars

During the entire year and also during the Pandemic the department organized various Webinars to keep the students always engaged and encouraged. The following the few lecture which happened the last few days.

d. Industrial visits

The University recognizes the fact that field trips and excursions are important components for a student’s development. They are educationally sound and an important ingredient to the instructional program of our college. These activities supplement and enrich classroom learning and encourage new interests amongst students, It also makes them more aware of community resources and helps them relate their educational experience to the outside world. Different field trips and excursions are planned and executed at SRMAP. As such, apart from the academic development, the social and overall development of our students is also being focused. Industry tours are an integral part of the University curriculum. These tours ensure that students gain practical insights to industry operations in their respective areas of specialization. Some of the visits that students have undertaken:

e. Faculty Development Program

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) intends to provide financial assistance to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill and intends to provide opportunities for induction training to teachers employed in disciplines Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Architecture, Town Planning and Applied Arts & Crafts. (b) A award Faculty Development Programme (FDP) to cover areas such as technical education policy, new concepts, methods and techniques, theory and skills development and up gradation of pedagogy educational technology, motivation, communication skills, management and other relevant issues to keep pace with the changing scenario in Technical Education. (c) The scheme is designed to enhance the teaching and other skills of the faculty. And to make them aware about modern teaching tools and methodologies. It provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological developments in relevant fields. It will not only promote the professional practices relevant to technical education but also motivates the faculty to achieve competitive teaching and learning environment, thus channelizing development with respect to academic qualifications and personal matters.
