It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Physics, SRM University AP, Andhra Pradesh. The Department of Physics is focused in achieving excellence in both teaching, research and innovation. We currently offer various programs at the bachelor's, masters and at doctoral levels. The four-year Bachelor of Science in Physics Honours with Research is intended to build a strong foundation in physics and empower students with problem solving skills and foundations in experimental and theoretical physics. The curriculum is flexible and students can chose their own preferred courses in electives and minors. We are also introducing Masters in Physics program with specializations in Quantum Technology and Condensed Matter Physics. The faculty members are highly experienced in bringing the advance science to their lectures and practical lab classes.

The department is currently focused on the following core research areas: Advanced materials and device physics, Computational Materials and Soft Matter Physics, Laser physics & Photonics and High Energy Physics. Faculty members have commendable track record in securing external funding and the high-quality research publications. We are committed to build a strong national and international collaboration.
