Post Doctoral Fellowship

The Department of Mathematics, SRM University-AP, invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships from highly motivated researchers in pure and applied mathematics.

This program provides a stimulating research environment with access to excellent resources and opportunities for collaboration.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and selections are made throughout the year.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Carry out independent research: theoretical, analytical, experimental and applied.
  2. Write funding proposals under the supervision of faculty advisors.
  3. Mentor and supervise junior colleagues and Ph.D. scholars providing guidance and developing research skills.
  4. Assist faculty advisors in research based UG and PG teaching.
  5. Publish research findings in journals and highly rated conferences, publish patents leading to commercialisation and technology transfers.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Ph.D. in Mathematics (awarded or thesis submitted) from a recognized institution.
  2. Strong research credentials, demonstrated through high-quality publications in reputed journals.
  3. Open to all areas of mathematics; candidates with excellent research potential are encouraged to apply.
  4. Prior postdoctoral or teaching experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  5. Age: Preferably under 35 years (relaxation for exceptional candidates).

Fellowship

  1. During the first year, a monthly salary of Rs. 58,000/- along with a House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per University norms.
  2. In the second year, a monthly salary of Rs 61,000/- along with a HRA, if the UPDF
    publishes two papers in Ql and/or ABCD-A*/A journals as first or corresponding
    author.
  3. For candidates who have submitted their thesis but degree not awarded: a monthly salary of Rs. 41,000/- will be provided along with HRA.

Other Benefits

  1. House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be applicable to those without university accommodation. For those who are provided university accommodation at a license fee, the food, and transpo11ation charges will be as per actual charges.
  2. Suitable rewards for publication as per university no1ms.

  4. Publication List highlighting relevant research contributions.
