Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow under SERB funded project

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the following Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India sponsored Research project entitled, “Mathematical analysis and Adjoint Based Stability for a Coupled Convection-Diffusion équation in Miscible Displacement” (Ref: SRG/2020/000713). The selected candidate will be carrying research along with Dr. Tapan Kumar Hota on the above project.

Project Summary: The broad area the project covers are partial differential equations and numerical analysis. It will investigate the adjoint-based stability analysis of certain autonomous system of differential equations and some existence & uniqueness of solutions of the system of partial differential equations.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Tapan Kumar Hota

Eligibility: M.Sc. in Mathematics (minimum 55%) and with GATE or NET or equivalent OR M.Tech in Mechanical Engg/Computer Science with GATE. Have interest in Linear algebra, Differential Equations & Numerical analysis. Candidates with good programming skill in C/C++/Matlab will be desirable.

Fellowship: As per the DST Norms plus admissible HRA. The fellowship is for 2 years.
