Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP)

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) is a part of the 4-year B.tech curriculum in which each student has to work under a faculty on some research topic. The programme provides students with hands-on research experience in the domain of their choice. Hence based on the choice of students, a team is formed, and they work under the faculty for the entire semester to get trained at a primitive level of research. This programme is highly beneficial for the students as they get to learn the basic things about research under the supervision of our world-class faculty. The Undergraduate Research-Oriented Project (UROP) prepares the students in the domain of research from their early days. This experience keeps the students a step ahead in the process of their career-making. All mechanical students who are in 3rd year are eligible for UROP. There are no selection criteria as it is a part of the curriculum. A department committee is formed for review of the progress for UROP.
