The SRM University-AP offers M.Tech programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Cyber Security. The curriculum is designed keeping in view the need of the industry. The students after completing the M.Tech Programme can choose the industry to work or choose the high-quality technical Institutes of international repute to pursue a Ph.D The courses of this programme are taught by highly qualified faculty with overseas exposure to teaching and research.
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning is a broad discipline that promises to simulate numerous innate human skills such as automatic programming, case-based reasoning, neural networks, Fuzzy Logic, decision-making, expert systems, natural language processing, pattern recognition and speech recognition etc. Artificial intelligence and machine intelligence technologies bring more complex data-analysis features to existing applications. Therefore, there is a thrust in using machine learning approaches to build new solutions in the business.
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Use research-based knowledge and research methods, including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions for complex problems.
Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.
Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.
Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings.
Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
Recognise the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological change.
The two-year programme offered by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering helps students apply their knowledge of computing to Big Data. Through the course of their programmes, they are encouraged to employ their understanding of computing tools and techniques to solve real-world business problems. They get insights into areas ranging from Data Acquisition to Analysis and Algorithm Design to transform into sought-after professionals and leaders in the field of Data Science.
