The department of mechanical engineering invites applications from bright mechanical engineers for pursuing the PhD Program in the department. Selected candidates will get a chance to work with the world class faculties on innovative research projects.

Eligibility: MTech in Mechanical, Production with first class

Selection Procedure:
1. Written test based on the UG Mechanical syllabus
2. Based on written test performance and MTech percentage, candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds
3. Technical interview by expert committee
4. Final selection- choice of supervisor based on availability or professors in selected research area of choice

Stipend: Attractive stipend will be paid

PhD Program duration: Minimum 3 years

Requirements:
1. Four courses related to the research area
2. Comprehensive exam (Qualifying)
3. Regular review of work with PhD committee
4. Final defense
5. Minimum 2 journal publications before final defense
