Advertisement for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 1 post - Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM University - AP, Andhra Pradesh

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the following Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India sponsored Research project entitled “Design and development of “smart” and “hybrid” parallel microchannel cooling system to address the cooling challenges of electronic components” (Reference no. SRG/2021/000639)

Project Summary: The key objective of the project is to develop the parallel microchannel cooling system (PMCS) integrated with U, I and Z flow configurations with automatic hot spot sensing feature to suit for the real time cooling challenges of electronic components.

Principal Investigator: Dr Lakshmi Sirisha Maganti

Eligibility: GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualified B.Tech/M.Tech. graduates in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering. Candidates having skills in flow automation, programming, control systems and CFD will have an added advantage.

Emoluments and Duration: Rs. 31,000 per month consolidated pay, duration: 2 years (SRM-AP provides free accommodation and food)

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the following Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India sponsored Research project entitled “Wall effects in Shockwave boundary layer interactions”. (Reference no. CRG/2020/003859)

Project Summary and scope for JRF: The main objective of the project is to deepen the understanding of shock wave boundary layer interactions on various control surfaces moving at supersonic and hypersonic speeds. The candidate recruited will be working on the implementation of the numerical method for simulations on the state-of-the-art GPGPU systems and using the GPGPU’s to study the objectives.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Satya Pramod Jammy

Eligibility: GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualified B.Tech/M.Tech. graduates in Mechanical /Aerospace Engineering.

Emoluments and Duration: Funding is for 3 years, Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month, for the first 2 years and SRF payscale for the third year. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to register for a PhD Registered PhD students will be provided with heavily subsidized hostel accommodation on the university campus.
