The Department of Chemistry is a DST-FIST-sponsored department which consists of a team of dynamic faculty with expertise in various research domains such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry. We have highly motivated young researchers who have earned their doctoral degrees and received training from top-notch research laboratories worldwide. Moreover, we are typically well-equipped with modern research facilities, including state-of-the-art instrumentation and equipment to perform advanced chemical analyses, synthesise new compounds, study chemical reactions, and investigate the properties of materials.
The Department aims to provide a world-class environment in terms of education, work culture, and research. During the programme, all the students will have a chance to work with faculty on cutting-edge problems. The knowledge and skills that a student gains at the end of the programme will be highly useful for his or her professional development.
