Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a broad discipline that promises to simulate numerous innate human skills such as automatic programming, case-based reasoning, neural networks, Fuzzy Logic, decision-making, expert systems, natural language processing, pattern recognition and speech recognition etc. The artificial intelligence and machine intelligence technologies bring more complex data-analysis features to existing applications. Therefore, there is a thrust in using machine learning approaches to build new solutions in business. Our laboratory provides a very conducive environment to the student to learn and expertise in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The AI & ML Lab is equipped NVIDIA DGX 1. NVIDIA DGX 1 which is the integrated software and hardware system that supports our commitment to AI research with an optimized combination of compute power, software and deep learning performance.
Thrust Area: Medical Image Analysis, Video Analysis, Social Network Mining.

Centre of Excellence in IoT

Faculty-in-charge: Dr. Ashok Kumar Pradhan

Faculty Members: Dr. Tapas Kumar Mishra, Dr. Deepak Kachave, Dr. Manjula R, Dr. Sriramulu Bojjagani.

Our approach to incorporate Internet of Things lab at SRM University, AP for the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering students which is not limited to a stand-alone platform on IoT; rather, it is a holistic integration of IoT skills and related technologies throughout the undergraduate programs. Through this initiative, our students will be exposed to applications of IoT enabling them to be better prepared for careers in a world that is more “connected” now, than ever before. This initiative will also support our undergraduate researchers in IoT to gain a deeper understanding of the subject in a real-world scenario. The proposed IoT lab framework would support learning outcomes that transcend a basic understanding of concepts, and aim towards the application of acquired skills in designing, building and deploying IoT devices for a variety of applications. We focus more on the following activities: energy efficiency in IoT network, Integration of IoT with Blockchain Technology, Data Harvesting in IoT using AI/ML and IoT Security.

Data Science Laboratory

Faculty-in-charge:

Faculty Members: Dr. T. Ragunathan, Dr. Murali Krishna Enduri, Dr. Ashu Abdul, Dr. T. Jaya Lakshmi, Mr. Rajiv Senapati, Dr. Ravi Kant Kumar.

Data Science Lab of SRM University AP is developed to work on analytical techniques and tools for improving decision making in environments that involve uncertainty and require statistical learning. This lab provides learning platform for B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in Data Science students to practice their industry problems. The faculty members involved in exploring theoretical foundations of operational problems and applying them in the development of algorithms that integrate machine learning and stochastic or deterministic optimization techniques. The research carried out in this Lab solves real-time industrial and social problems.

Network & Cyber Security

Faculty-in-charge: Dr. Satish Anamalamudi

Faculty Members: Dr. Amit Kr Mandal, Dr. Manjula R, Dr. Sobin C C, Dr. Sriramulu Bojjagani, Dr. Deepak Kachave.

Computer Network is a group of heterogeneous devices that are connected with each other through guided or unguided medium by using standardized network protocol suite. These devices can be computers, printers, scanners, Fax machines etc. Computer Networks lab at SRM University-AP will examine about how to transmit the application data in a distributed environment by using different communication technologies. In this lab, students primarily focus shall be to expose to various networking and security aspects and provide skill based hands-on training in the areas related to different layers of TCP/IP protocols suite. The lab session shall involve in implementation of different networking protocols and simulating it in the wired/wireless network environment. In addition, students will analyse and implement different cryptographic and authentication algorithms to securely transmit the application data in Computer Networks.
