Dr Ipsita Pradhan's proposed project has been awarded the JIWS (Journal of International Women’s Studies, Bridgewater State University, US) Spring Fellowship, 2023

  • Project Title: Salon at the Comfort of your Home!: Understanding Gendered Labour Practices in the Platform Economy
  • The Fellowship Amount: USD 700 and shall be primarily used for fieldwork in India.
The project will look at the conditions of work in the gig economy and its implications for women engaged as service providers in platforms, particularly those which provide ‘beauty’ and 'self-care' services.

Invited as an expert for the National Level Consultation of Experts

Dr Bikku R has been invited as an expert for the National Level Consultation of Experts on 'Issues and Challenges' of the De-notified Communities in Rajasthan constituted by the Institute of Development Studies, Jaipur (IDSJ), Government of Rajasthan.

He will be reviewing the Draft 'Rajasthan De-notified Communities Policy' prepared by IDSJ.
