PhD in Psychology Programme

The Doctoral Programme in Psychology offers research scholars an opportunity to work on their areas of interest, within the field of psychology. Potential candidates will have to get through an entrance exam and interview to be selected for the program. It is a prerequisite to hold a postgraduate degree in psychology (regular mode preferred) and have clear understanding of basic concepts in research for social/behavioural sciences. The research scholars will be engaged in rigorous coursework during their first year. The programme aims to maintain high standards in terms of research methods (both qualitative and quantitative) and ethical research practices. The current areas where supervision is being offered is educational psychology, positive psychology, developmental psychology and counselling psychology.
