Group Size: Up to 25 (Minimum of 15 participants are required to conduct the Programme)
Nativity: Second-generation NRI students of AP & Telangana origin

Programme at a Glance

“Social Leadership Programme” (SLP) is an immersion programme designed to provide knowledge and orientation about Andhra Pradesh to foreign-born children of Telugu and Indian descent. It is a collaborative project that is being undertaken by SRM-AP and APNRTS to introduce and promote knowledge about the rich heritage of Andhra Pradesh, orientation on traditional farming methods and self-sustaining ways, knowledge about multi-level governance, and education & health initiatives of the Nadu-Nedu, interactions with Government bureaucrats and politicians, etc. Also, bring the students' attention to exceptional reforms being implemented by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This programme will not only aid in their career growth transformation but also develop them into future Youth Ambassadors to represent the state of AP in their countries as well as at the Global Arena

We offer this programme to international students studying at any Boarding/High School/College and who are eager to travel abroad to reconnect with their parents' country. This programme combines interactive learning with excursions to tourist attractions and recreational activities. The course is aimed to provide students with hands-on knowledge by engaging in hands-on activities and social immersion experiences that will inspire an entrepreneurial and leadership spirit.

  • Governance, Politics & Administration

 Visit to Secretariat & Assembly, Real-Time Governance Center, Grama Sachivalayam; overview of Govt. Services & Schemes; Interactions with Bureaucrats, Politicians and Philanthropists, etc.

  • Education & Healthcare Management

Visit Govt. schools to showcase Manabadi: Nadu-Nedu transformations in school education methods, visit nearest Govt. General Hospital/Health Centers, Transformation in Health Care Services, NGOs Campaigns (SAHI & others), attending workshops, and participating in Philanthropic activities.

  • Livelihoods/Entrepreneurship

Mangalagiri Handloom Saree weaving workshops; Kondapalli Toys Manufacturing Unit; Food & Agro Processing units, MSMEs, etc.

  • Women Empowerment

Tribal village tour, interacting with SHGs, educating about the schemes & support given to women by the Govt.

  • Educational Visits

Understanding Indian Agriculture & field visits, University, Industries & IT Parks, Steel plant &, infrastructure projects visit, etc.

  • Tourism, Culture & Heritage

Introduction to the traditions, knowledge of cultural values, visit the heritage sites, etc., visit Borra Caves, Araku Valley, waterfalls & local beaches, campfire, etc.
