OPTIONAL 4TH YEAR AND TRAINING FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

The three-year Bachelor programme is extendable to an optional fourth year specially curated to make the students aware of the cutting edge research being done in Literary Studies worldwide. Special coaching will also be provided to the students willing to pursue higher education in world-class universities including the Ivy League institutions. The 4th year also gives students a provision to submit a research thesis, a prerequisite for admission applications to premier universities in the USA and Europe. The 4th year facilitates a smooth transition to higher studies without losing an additional year

FOUNDATION FOR COMPETITIVE EXAMS

The curriculum is designed to enhance confidence to appear for national and international level competitive exams (e.g., GRE, UPSC, UGC-NET) and secure admissions in reputed universities in India and abroad

FACULTY & AREAS OF INTERESTS

Dr Priyank Varma G is a PhD from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. His area of expertise is English Language Teaching (ELT) with a specialisation in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). His research interests are Designing Teaching Materials, Learning Styles etc.

Dr Srabani Basu is a PhD from Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya (Chhattisgarh). Her career spans over a period of 28 years in institutional and corporate training, and lectureship. Besides her academic background, she is also a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner and coach. Interdisciplinary research, archetypal psychology, music, creative writing, water memory, are some of her areas of interest.

Dr Rajni Mujral is a PhD from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. Her area of expertise is Indian writing in English. Her research interests are include disability studies and language teaching, migration literature, literature in other vernaculars.

Dr Ram Kulesh Thakur is a PhD in English from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, His research areas are Language Structure and Operation in Poetry, English Language Teaching, Language Assessment Techniques, and Indian Writing in English.

Dr Soni Wadhwa is a Ph.D from The University of Mumbai. Her area of expertise is in philosophy of language. Other research interests are city writing, south Asian studies, media studies, popular culture and translation.

Dr Anu Kuriakose is a PhD from The University of Space Science & Technology, (IIST), Thiruvanantapuram. Her research interests are Gender/LGBTIQA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Asexual) in language, literature, film, and cultures.

UNIQUE CURRICULUM

The students of SRM UNIVERSITY-AP have an option of obtaining minors from other disciplines of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences such as Economics, Psychology, English, and Journalism.

OPTIONAL 4TH YEAR AND TRAINING FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

The three-year Honours programme is extendable to an optional fourth year. The programme is fine-tuned to make the students aware of the cutting edge research being done worldwide in the discipline of History. Further, we train them to prepare for admissions in world-class universities including the Ivy League institutions for their higher studies. It also gives them the provision to submit a BA thesis which is a pre-requisite in applying to premier universities in the USA and Europe, facilitating a smooth transition to higher studies without losing an additional year

HISTORY WITH A PURPOSE

The curriculum has been comprehensively set to meet the requirements of UPSC Examinations, covering almost all aspects of the General Studies papers of both the preliminary and main examinations. Besides, students are also trained for various other national and international competitive exams such as UGC NET, PSC, GRE, and TOEFL

Dr Malavika Binny - PhD in History, JNU. Her areas of research interest are Intersections of Science and Gender in Ayurveda and native healing methods.

Dr Maanvender Singh - PhD in History, Central University of Sikkim.His areas of research interest are Constitutional and Judicial Epistemology of Caste, State and Politics in the Postcolonial India.

Dr Megha Yadav - PhD in History, JNU. Her areas of research interest are analysis of gender relations and performance within the Tantric Buddhist practices in Early Medieval Eastern India, Nepal and Tibet.

Dr Aqsa Agha - PhD in History, JNU. Her areas of research interest are Gender, State and Politics in Medieval India

Ms Ayesha Parveen Haroon: has submitted her doctoral thesis at the University of Madras and has vast teaching experience. The BSc Programme in Economics at SRM University-AP has several unique features. The Programme is exible and designed to expose the students to fundamental economic theories as well as quantitative methods. The
Programme makes the student both conceptually and analytically strong in Economics. The programme includes fundamental theories in Microeconomics & Macroeconomics, International Trade & Finance and Public Economics. In addition to mathematical methods, statistical methods and econometrics, R-studio & Python programming.
