About

The programme is tailor-made for the benefit of international students to experience the southern part of India by learning from culture & heritage, lectures, visiting industries, local sightseeing, and excursion to beautiful tourist places in India. It offers an opportunity for students who wish to experience India's rich diversity and cultural heritage.

Immersion programmes are open to teams/groups led by faculty or, institutionals heads, etc, as well as to individuals

Faculty-Led Exploration:

SRM - AP enables faculty-led exploration by inviting the professors/heads to participate along with their students in exploring the rich Indian cultural heritage through Aadigyan - Summer Immersion Programme. The faculty-led programme lets you connect with your students for hands-on experiential learning in this non-classroom cultural immersion programme. The thoughtfully planned visit to the ancient farm of toy-making at Kondapalli will stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit among your students.

Cultural Heritage Programme:

The India Immersion Programme offers events and courses which include:

  • A unique platform to provide you with a deep dive into Indian Philosophy and Culture and you would really love
  • Take up healthy practices like Hatha Yoga, Meditation, and Kalaripayattu (Indian Martial Arts) that will help you change your life for the better
  • Cultural activities such as festival celebrations, Indian music, and Indian dance performances, exploring astrology or flower stringing, temple visits, even bazaar shopping excursions
  • Skill-learning classes in which you will be taught about Indian recipes and learn Indian languages, art, and philosophy
  • An intensive workshop on Kondapalli Toy Manufacturing (Wooden Toys) where you can learn about the toy industry from local artisans
  • An experience-based workshop on Mangalagiri Handloom Saree Weaving which allows you to get insights into saree weaving from a local handloom saree weaver
  • Understanding the Indian economy & the role of small and medium-sized businesses through seminars, discussions, visits to local industries
  • Social events and entertainment include 'view from the top' talks and debates, coffee-morning conversations, and cross-cultural potlucks
  • A Taste of India, our core programme, is designed to immerse you in India through your five senses, giving you a unique insight into the Indian lifestyle. This lies at the heart of so much that we do.

Duration of the Programme:

1 Week   - (27th June to 3rd July 2022)

2 Weeks - (27th June to 8th July 2022)

The Programme Fees: 

 1 Week: 200 USD for International Students, 6000 INR for Indian Students

 2 Weeks: 300 USD for International Students, 10,000 INR for Indian Students

  Apply by 21st May 2022 to get a 50% scholarship (Applicable for International Students)

  Faculty-Led Exploration Programme gives 100% Fee Waiver for Professors//Heads             accompanying with the international students

Anyone who completed Higher Secondary / +2 in any stream, Working knowledge in English
