FDP on “Algebra, Analysis, and Number Theory”

The Department of Mathematics is organising an online Faculty Development Programme on “Algebra, Analysis and Number Theory” from December 16 – 20, 2024. The Faculty Development Programme aims to enhance the pedagogical skills required for teaching mathematics at the tertiary level of education. An extensive range of topics from Algebra, Analysis, and Number Theory will be covered and discussed by the expert faculty of SRM University-AP, familiarising participants from other disciplines with various areas of mathematics.
The FDP is open to all College/University Teachers, Research Scholars, UG & PG Students.
Main Course Contents
- Algebra: Structure of Cyclic Groups, Lagrange’s Theorem and Sylow Theorems.
- Analysis: Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem, Intermediate Value Theorem and Heine Borel Theorem.
- Number Theory: Plane Curves, Rational Points and Elliptic Curves.
