The basketball court was stunningly decorated with disco lights, a perfect backdrop for the celebration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13156 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-6-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-6-280x187.jpg 280w, https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-6.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30px; font-family: helvetica;\">The ambiance was set with soulful performances by \u201cDiversity\u201d-the student\u2019s band led by the lead vocalist Asim along with Suchet B Thapa on guitars, Srijan B Thapa with clap box, and Srijeet Tomrokar as an acoustic guitarist.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13157 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-7-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-7-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-7-280x187.jpg 280w, https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-7.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30px; font-family: helvetica;\">The new year is the time to cherish the fond memories of the passing year before bidding farewell to it. The students participated in the competition \u201cRewind 2019\u201d where they had to create a video on their memorable moments spent in SRM AP. Sukumar (2nd year, Computer Science Engineering) bagged the first prize in the competition whereas, Parshal Chitrakar (3<sup>rd<\/sup> year, Computer Science Engineering) himself narrated his year\u2019s journey on camera to become the runner up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30px; font-family: helvetica;\">The much-awaited \u201cDJ Night\u201d began right after where the students grooved to English, Hindi, and Telugu music handpicked by Sukumar. \u201cNothing could have been better than this celebration right before the turn of the year where we got to spend time with our mates\u201d, says Sreelekha Bhuvaneswari (2nd year, BSc.Physics)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13152 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-2-280x187.jpg 280w, https:\/\/srmap.edu.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-2.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 18px; line-height: 30px; font-family: helvetica;\">The countdown to 2020 began at midnight and soon enough skyrockets shot off to declare that we stepped into the new year. A cake-cutting ceremony by Wng Cmdr Venkataachalam Sekkappan (Director-CLM) marked the end of the day.
