The Economics programme at SRM AP is tailored to attract students who possess a keen interest in learning and training within a department that primarily focuses on preparing them for long-term contributions to the workforce, particularly in the fields of policymaking and research. To ensure a multidisciplinary education, we offer Foundation Courses and optional Minors across other departments. We have developed specialised Economics programs that address the increasing demand for professional economists in the job market. These programs emphasise the application of economic theories and aim to equip professionals with lifelong learning skills.
Our unique curriculum will enable students to find job opportunities in industries and consultancies or pursue further research with premier institutes/universities in India and foreign countries. Our faculty members have completed their PhD and post-doctoral research with premier Indian institutes. Our students will have opportunities to get involved in the ongoing institutional and collaborative research programs while pursuing BSc. (Hons.) in Economics.
