On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Department of Mathematics holds a contest named Ms Hypatia SRM AP Mathematics and an essay competition on Gender & Mathematics. The main aim is to spot female students with a talent for mathematics. This year the contest was held on the 4th March, 2020. All the female students of the university were eligible to participate in the contest and over 60 students participated in the event.
