“Got to work with some of the smartest students from the world. I worked on some blockchain projects and some projects on the internet of things projects. I got to interact with many highly experienced entrepreneurs and learned how to take a small project that can solve a very practical problem to a million-dollar company.”
Abirami“My Semester Abroad Program at UC Berkeley is the best time I had till now. It was a completely different experience, meeting students from all over the world understanding their culture and how they work under different situations taught me many lessons. The Professors were very helpful and taught us various things which was something very unique. I have attended several conferences over there, which helped to understand what are the current trends in the technical industries and what are all the possible opportunities we will have.”
Agniswar Paul“SAP is a very good opportunity in terms of co-curricular and extra-curricular exposure. It helped me improve my academic skills, soft skills and has also benefited with my future career prospects and helped me understand my future options and has shown me the right direction to streamline my efforts. It helped me improve my self-confidence and independency.”
Nafisa“My experience at University of Wisconsin, Madison was both informative and enjoyable. I got to witness a different style of teaching called flipped classroom, little bit different from the regular classes and I got vivid experience in learning. Semester Abroad Program was not only beneficial academically but also taught me to live independently and guided me to take some crucial decisions relating to my future career progression. This opportunity helped to explore the outside world by taking me out of my comfort zone, staying away from parents. However, I could be able to enjoy each part of it. It was very nice being part of some student clubs at UWM by participating in activities conducted by them. I could also get to make good friends, who helped me for all my queries both academic and general understanding of surroundings during initial days of my semester abroad program.”
Yoganand“Spending a semester at the UWM was one of my best experiences in life. Initially, it was hard to move from India leaving behind the family, friends and everyone but after spending some time with friends at Madison, I got accustomed to the culture, climate. As we planned to reach Madison a month prior from the start of classes, we got enough time to explore different places, to meet Mr. Matt, to adapt to the harsh winters. The classes were commenced on 21/01/20. In the first week, we attended all the courses that we were enrolled into and got a chance to know the teaching standards, classroom halls, university buildings, to introduce ourselves to the professors, our peers at UWM. We analyzed the course toughness and decided to choose some other courses in-addition to balance well. In the meantime, we used to explore the nearby malls, and many different areas. The transportation in and around Madison was free for the students who have a free bus pass given to all from the UWM. We attended the EthDenver Hackathon in the mid-February and our air travel was completely sponsored by managing committee of EthDenver. Later on, the classes were transitioned from in-person to online. We spent our valuable time with our academics and our ongoing projects. The semester exams went really well and it was conducted in the first week of May. We successfully completed our course work at the UWM. We then used to go for a walk each and every day and enjoyed the beautiful summers at Madison. Finally, we completed our Semester Abroad Program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and yes, we miss those days.”
