Overview

Universities are created to tackle the unknown. What those unknowns will be, we do not know. Therefore, universities are regarded as temples of knowledge creation and dissemination. We are a 6 years young multi-disciplinary research-intensive university. All major disciplines of Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Management, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Liberal Arts are practised on our campus.

With a contingent of more than 275+ faculty members (50% of them have postdoctoral research experience), 5500 students and 250 research scholars on campus, we not only promote PG and PhD research but UG research as well, which is an integral part of our education.

We facilitate faculty members through research start-up grants, professional development allowance, patent filing support, PhD fellows with full tuition fee waivers and better than UGC fellowships, postdoctoral fellows, or the research infrastructure to intensify research, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit on campus.

In addition to a number of research laboratories, the following Centres of Excellence are operating on the campus:-

During the next 5 years, besides fundamental research, our focus will be on industrial research, research commercialisation, prototype and product development, technology transfers and spin-off companies.

The research at SRM University-AP is administered by the Office of Dean Research. The office has the following verticals:

  • Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy, including Central facilities
  • Academia-Industry Relations, including IPR activities
