Andhra Pradesh Meteorological Centre is established at SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh and is providing weather forecast services for the entire state of Andhra Pradesh. Meteorological Observatory is set up with instruments such as Rain Gauge, Anemometer, Distant Indicating Wind Equipment (DIWE), Stevenson Screen, Evaporation Measuring Equipment, Sunshine Recorder, All Sky Radiometer, Ethelometer etc have been installed at the Indian Meteorological Centre Observatory in the SRM University – AP Campus.. Weather forecast and information on cyclones is being provided by the Andhra Pradesh Meteorological Centre.
