The students should maintain an aggregate of minimum 7 CGPA (till the latest semester) with no existing backlogs.
English Proficiency test would be subjective to the University & Country you are applying to IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, PTE are the few of the tests accepted Internationally. Generally, the required score bands vary based on the university chosen. In some cases, partner Universities waive off the language proficiency requirement. It is entirely a subjective exemption.
SAT is not required for the admission in the undergraduate courses at the foreign university when a student is taking international transfer through SRM AP.
These are the host foreign university requirements and would vary as per the course, programme and country.
The student must pay the tuition fee of the overseas host university along with the visa application charges, travel expenses and the living expenses while studying at the overseas host university. At SRMAP, the student would pay an additional transfer fee apart from their regular tuition fee.
You can apply for an education loan once you have a conditional offer letter from the partner university. The conditional offer letter is a document that you can provide as a supporting document to the bank while applying for an education loan.
Conditional offer letter is the letter issued by the overseas host university offering admission to a student subject to conditions to fulfil. The conditions are mentioned on the letter and the student must fulfil those conditions in order to get an acceptance or unconditional offer letter to apply for a visa.
You can apply for a visa once you receive the unconditional offer letter and have all the necessary documentation in place, as required by the visa issuing authority of the host country.
Unconditional offer letter is the final letter issued by the overseas host university when the student has met all the admission criteria of the overseas host university.
Students would directly apply for the visa once they have procured all the necessary documents. The Directorate of International Relations & Higher Studies at SRM AP would only help in procuring relevant documents pertaining to SRM AP to apply for the visa. It is the student’s responsibility to apply and get the visa processed.
The student would get a student visa. For instance, in the USA the student will get an F1 visa, In Canada the student will get an S-1 visa, In the UK the student will get a Tier 4 visa, In Australia the student will get a student (Subclass 500) visa.
Students studying in 1st and 2nd year of under graduation can apply for transfer programmes. Best suggested to apply maximum before the commencement of the 4th semester at SRMAP.
Depends upon the rules and regulations of the country where the student is going to study. Generally, students would be allowed to work on a student visa as per the law of the land. In most situations, students can work up to 20 hours a week during the whole duration of their study.
Visa is issued by the Embassy of the respective countries after all the procedures are duly followed by the candidate. Thus, a successful visa is conditional to the visa granting authority and depends on the documents which are being presented by the applicant at the time of the visa application.
SRMAP will give a chance to improve your grades in order to transfer to a foreign university or you can continue the course here at SRM AP and complete the degree.
Your Department Head along with the IR Faculty coordinators will evaluate the courses and help in transferring the credits to the host university and an advisor from the host university would support the process.
The credit transfer programme is available for almost all the courses at SRM AP such as engineering, management and science courses. The Directorate of International Relations and Higher studies keeps you updated with the list of courses offered by various host universities.
Initially, SRMAP students will be screened based on the required CGPA criteria. Later, a panel from respective departments consisting of the Department Head and IR Faculty Coordinators will be interviewing the students (CV and SOP should be shared with the panel beforehand).
