Global Study Programme

The Global Study Programme at SRM University-AP has established worldwide initiatives through which students fly to prestigious universities around the world. Courses offered by a few handpicked partner institutes abroad have been carefully analysed and adjusted so that a student can select courses that are equal to those offered at SRM-AP. As a result, students can spend a semester at a university overseas and receive credit for the courses they completed there. The student is exposed to a global environment as a result of this partnership agreement.

SRM University-AP encourages students to participate in the Global Study Programme (GSP). The programmes offered under GSP are:

Study Abroad during the Floating Credit Semester for Undergraduate students:

SRM University-AP (SRM-AP) students can Study Abroad for a semester at a university of their choice as part of this initiative. To aid student mobility, SRM -AP offers a Floating Credit Semester, which allows students to pursue subjects of their choice without having to map out actual course content. This encourages students to explore areas that are not part of their present course framework.

Semester Abroad Programme:

SRM - AP has collaborations with various universities across the globe and has signed Memoranda of Understanding with them. This gives our students the opportunity to study at the host university with mutual recognition of the credit hours, allowing the ease of credit transfers. The students at SRM University-AP can also get the benefit of tuition waivers. Some of our partners are:

  • University of California, Davis, USA
  • University of California, Berkeley, USA
  • Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA
  • University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA
  • Harvard Medical School, USA
  • James Cook University, Singapore
  • HEPL University, Belgium
  • Anadolu University, Turkey
  • University of Dundee, UK
  • University of Skodve, Sweden
  • Wisconsin Madison, USA
  • The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel

Summer/Winter Schools:

These programmes generally happen in the summer vacations or winter vacations of the academic year. A summer/winter school is a form of educational programme that offers both academic and non-academic courses. The programme enables students and professors to travel to the host nation to learn about technology, the business environment, global concerns, finance, art, and other themes, as well as the culture of the individual countries and visits to various industrial and business establishments.
Credit transfers for Summer/Winter schools are also available to them.

Overseas Internships:

SRM - AP encourages students to go abroad for internships and conduct research on various topics.

Mobility Programme:

UKIERI

The UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) began in April 2006 with the goal of strengthening educational ties between the two countries. Since then, UKIERI has been acknowledged as a critical multi-stakeholder initiative that has improved bilateral research, leadership, education, and skill sector connections. It was the first of its sort in international academic collaboration at the time, and SRM University-AP also promotes student transfer through UKIERI
