Malavika Binny is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the School of Liberal Arts and Basic Sciences, SRM University, India. She was awarded her doctorate in May 2019 from the Centre for Historical Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi on the topic - Bodies, Power and Identities in Premodern Kerala; An Exploration of Medical and Ritual Traditions.
She was awarded the Erasmus Mundus Visiting Scholarship at The Leiden Institute of History, Leiden University, The Netherlands, under the Erasmus Mundus - IBIES Programme in 2014-2015 and was the recipient of the prestigious Elamkulam Kunjan Pillai Young Historian Prize instituted by the Kerala History Congress in 2017. Her research interests include the histories of science and medicine, gender history and dalit studies.

Maanvender Singh completed his Ph.D. from the Department of History at the Central University of Sikkim, Gangtok in 2018. He was a Public Policy Scholar at The Hindu Centre, Chennai in 2016.Maanvender Singh’s research explores the genesis of an exclusive Other Backward Classes (OBCs) politics at the national level and their transformation from the early 1950s and 1960s from a reductive administrative category to the prime mover in the Indian politics.
His research also probes the democratic potential of alignment of caste groups under the category of OBCs. His research areas also include Constitutional and judicial engagement with the question of backward classes. Social Inclusion and Indian Higher Education. The issue of Equal Access. State and Politics in the Post- Colonial India. Caste, Conflict, and Democratisation.
