Research Interest

  • Poetic Communication: How a ‘language’ works in a piece of literary text to create myriad effects such as Irony, Humour, Satire, Sarcasm, Wit, etc. The mechanism and structure of language, i.e., Lexical, Syntactic, Semantic, Pragmatic, and Discourse.
  • English Language Teaching: Using / Finding / Creating new teaching methodologies for ESL and EFL learners. Countering the challenges of a heterogeneous classroom, especially where the students come from different Social, Cultural, Traditional, Economic, and Educational backgrounds.
  • Soft Skills: The behavioural pattern of the youngsters, especially the teenagers.
