Research Interest

  • Experimental investigation of Heat transfer and Fluid flow in Monodisperse and Bi-disperse Porous media.
  • Experimental study of Heat Transfer Enhancement using IR(Infra-Red) thermography technique in Porous media packed channels with fluid flows having higher Prandtl number.
  • Thermal Energy Storage (T.E.S) capability of channels with randomly packed particles and comparison with analytical solutions.
  • Experimental study of Fluid flow characteristics of Monodisperse Porous media.
  • Further intending to explore Granular flows, Understanding biological flows using the Porous media approach, Cooling of electronics equipment (passive methods) and Turbulent flows.
  • I am also interested to explore the application of CFD methods for getting insights on flow fields inside the porous media using commercially available / open source codes such as FLUENT / OPENFOAM etc. leading to numerical validation of the experimentally obtained results.
