Research Interests

  • Project Investigator of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Project titled ‘Nalanda and Bodhgaya: Understanding the past environment and transnational networks of the World Heritage Sites.
  • Study of past cultural landscapes with emphasis on the early medieval-medieval period of South Asian history. Interested in studying ancient and medieval architectural edifices of south and southeast Asia.
  • Interested in courses oriented to the study of Indian culture including Art and Aesthetics, Textual and Religious traditions.
  • Digital Humanities (DH) Studies
  • Forthcoming book on 'Landscape and Gender'.
