Research Interest

  • Previous research work includes Applications of Genetic algorithms and Fuzzy modelling in the areas of Electrical distribution systems, Wireless sensor networks and Distributed systems. I have developed new algorithms for Electrical network reconfiguration to minimise losses and Load flow solution.
  • Another application is to minimize the power consumption in WSN. Another application is Fault detection in Distributed systems.
 Future research planned: application of Evolutionary programming in
  • Green Cloud computing: Green cloud computing solutions aims to not only save energy, but also reduce operational costs.
  • Data Placement strategy in Distributed Systems
  • EP in Big Data: EP looks promising in three aspects of the Big Data problem which are feature selection, instance selection and handling missing values.
  • WSN & Hybrid Wireless
  • Internet of Nano Things
  • Virtual reality and augmented reality

  • Nominated for “International Scientist of the year for 2008” by the selection committee of the International Biographical centre in Cambridge, England.
