The Asian Consortium on Computational Materials Science (ACCMS) was set up in 2000 in order to nurture and promote research and development activities in computational materials in Asian countries. ACCMS entered into the 16th year of existence and the conduct of 10 successful conferences and 12 general meetings of this virtual organization have boosted the computational materials research in the Asian region. In order to optimally utilize our resources and manpower, it is widely felt that we should have a ‘real’ organization to steer young researchers towards computational research. It is envisaged that the conduct of International Conference on Material Genome at SRM University, AP-Amaravati, will lay the foundation for an active center of ACCMS on campus. For more details:

Tech Fest/Hackathon

On Feb 28th, 2019 at the 2nd edition of SRM AP Tech Fest  Dr. S. Chandrasekhar,  Director, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology will preside as  the Chief Guest. Dr. Chandrasekhar is also a J C Bose National Fellow.  The inauguration program is from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, followed by interaction sessions with Dr.  Chandrashekhar.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop
Tech fest 2019 now offers a day long Artificial Intelligence workshop where you can get hands on training in the latest developments in AI. The workshop is in association with SocAlty Developers and Intel.

‘L’art pour la vie’ – SRM AP’s first ever inaugural Literary FEST, From ACTS (Arts Culture & Technology) an initiative of SLABS students, the festival program includes a tribute to late journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh, panels on ‘identity, representation & reality’ and ‘gender & society’, Slam Poetry, Extempore, ‘Art from a literature piece’, book fairs, Art Exhibition and Human Library, Hyderabad.
