Employers are now looking for young professionals who have not only mastered the essential technical skills and fundamental knowledge in the traditional business and management studies but also can convey more profound knowledge and familiarity in the more specialised fields of business administration and management.

SRM AP has designed a distinctive approach by initiating ‘Action Learning Programmes (or ALPs)’ for our BBA undergraduates that gives sustained opportunities for the practical application of business foundations. This kind of knowledge is acquired by working intensively and consistently in small teams on live business projects and producing “value-added results” for their customers.

Our unique curriculum trains students to appreciate the dynamic and complex working environment of business, develop critical thinking skills, demonstrate the ability to analyse complex qualitative and quantitative problems and exhibit organisational leadership. Students will also learn to apply technology such as machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance organisational efficiency and create innovative business solutions. They will also acquire entrepreneurial traits to create a start-up and manage their own innovative business successfully.

Major & Minor

BBA requires close of 140 credits for awarding the degree including certain credits for specializations. The curriculum is designed to expose students to a wide range of theoretical foundations and practical applications in the core disciplines of management. These include formal specializations in Finance, Marketing and HR Management.

vii. Familiarize themselves with social responsibility issues that managers must address, including business ethics, governance, cultural diversity, and environmental concerns (including waste & water management).

MBA (Banking & Financial Services) [2 years Program]

This is a comprehensive two-year M.B.A degree programme that aims to create future leaders and managers in banking and financial services sector. The programme is meant for students who are passionate to pursue a career in the banking and inancial services sector.

B. Com

The 3-year B. Com (H) programme consists of 140 credits. However, the students, who wish not to opt for the specializations/optional papers, have to secure a minimum of 124 credits to get a B. Com Degree. The course covers basic to in-depth knowledge on Accounting (Covering Financial, Corporate, Cost, and Management Accounting), Data Analytics, Auditing, and Taxation with the help of 12 credits of lab components.

The course is formulated with 6 semesters and with a breakup of 3 specializations as follows:

  1. Financial Management
  2. Marketing Management
  3. Human Resource Management

Each specialization consists of 5 courses along with one compulsory core course on Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. The course also covers a value-added Tally Accounting Software.

Commerce as a field of study is available since 19th century. The course got its name and fame after virtual Governments throughout the world started developing their economies, through rapid industrialisation and advancement of trade and commerce. The curriculum of the B. Com (Honours) programme at SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh is designed to provide and facilitate the students either to acquire a 124 credit B.Com Degree with strong base on today’s requirements of providing knowledge on Business, Accounting, Finance, and Data Analytics with practical inputs, or by providing additional 16 credits with the following specializations:

  1. Financial Management
  2. Marketing Management
  3. Human Resource Management

These specializations are in addition to the 124-credit normal B. Com Graduation requirements. The students who are interested in getting a B. Com (H) can select any one of these specializations as per their interest, and can get a deployable and a practical oriented course of B. Com (Honours). The lab-oriented courses, case study-based methodology of teaching, and the regular industry related seminars organized at the University will provide additional insight to the industry requirements and enhance the students’ knowledge in a practical way.

The course provides basic to in depth knowledge suiting the requirements of Industry with a thrust on improving the entrepreneurial abilities of the students. Especially there are 6 compulsory courses with Data Analytics backdrop along with a skill-based Tally Accounting Software Course that will enrich the student’s research aptitude and employment potentiality.

Further, the students can pursue a minor degree offered by various Schools of the University to improve their frontiers of knowledge.
