The B. Tech programme offered by the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is a four year programme with a minimum of 160 credits. An additional 20 credits may be applied towards honours or a minor programme. The curriculum is developed based on interdisciplinary ideas with an activity based learning approach.
The students will also participate in undergraduate research as well as in multiple industry internships. The programme has an active semester abroad programme with multiple universities across the world.
SRM-AP Selection Process
Eligibility for B. Tech Programs (Duration: 4 years)
(a) Nationality and Age
Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for Selection Process.
Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India must apply under International student category only.
Should have attained the age of 16 + on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board or examination is to be held.

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the SRMJEEE (UG) or in SRMAPET 2021 are eligible for all the B.Tech. degree programs
Selection into B.Tech program
Students will be selected based on their ranks in SRMJEEE/ SRMAPET.
Common counseling will be held for all constituent institutions of SRM University – Chennai, AP - Andhra Pradesh, and Haryana. The counseling for SRM University AP, Andhra Pradesh will be held at Kattangalathur, Chennai, and Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
Counseling would be held for admission into SRM University – AP, Andhra Pradesh. Students can attend the same for taking admission into SRM University – AP, Andhra Pradesh
