Ms. Mohua Das is an experienced and compassionate Psychotherapist who specializes in working with a diverse adult population. She offers a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals of different cultural backgrounds to share their emotions and experiences. Her approach is holistic, collaborative, and flexible, covering various areas such as self-development, depression, anxiety, phobias, relationship difficulties, and coping with critical situations. Ms. Das's extensive experience in healthcare, educational, industrial, and private settings equip her to address a breadth of personal and professional issues with students, staff, and faculty.

Ms. Mohua has a comprehensive approach to counseling, integrating various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to understand and address her clients' needs. She also incorporates practices like Yoga, Guided Imagery, Meditation, and Mindfulness-based interventions to foster self-awareness, compassion, and resilience in her clients. Additionally, she utilizes Art Therapy and Narrative Therapy to facilitate self-expression, gain insights into difficulties, stressors, and traumas, and support meaningful change, growth, and coping skills in collaboration with them.

Ms. Das has an academic background in Applied Psychology, with a master’s degree from Gitam Deemed to be University, Visakhapatnam, India, and a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from Gayatri Vidya Parishad, Visakhapatnam, India. She initiated her professional journey as a Practical Trainee at the Government Hospital of Mental Care, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. In the same year, she continued her practical training at Gitam Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, while also engaging in private practice as a Psychotherapist. Soon after that she served as an Executive Psychological Counsellor at Brandix India Apparel City, Atchutapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Ms. Das has undergone a course in Child counseling, which can greatly benefit students by helping them understand and support their mindset better. It can provide valuable insights and techniques to address the emotional and psychological needs of young minds. She actively collaborated with different NGOs, schools, and colleges to promote awareness about mental health care. As part of the National Service Scheme at Andhra University, she conducted workshops and sessions to provide a deeper understanding of mental health.

Ms. Das has a remarkable track record of service and involvement in various areas related to mental health care. Besides her role as an Executive Psychological Counsellor, she also served as an Internal Committee member (IC) for the Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy (POSH) at Brandix India Apparel City, India. This position involved investigating formal complaints, assisting in handling informal complaints, and providing psychological interventions and counseling to employees at the workplace.

Ms. Das is a certified P.A.C.E. (Personal Assessment and Career Enhancement) Master Trainer- Evaluator, which adds to her expertise in personal assessment, career development and customizing personalized strategies for career growth. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to unlock their true potential and achieve their career goals.

Additionally, during the Covid lockdown, she extended her services as a Trainer, Educator, and On-call Counsellor, catering to the mental health needs of adolescents and adults. Her dedication and extensive involvement in mental health care initiatives showcase her commitment to supporting individuals and communities in maintaining their mental well-being.
